Oh vanity. How you drive me to distraction these days. I made a resolution that instead of trying to lose weight, I'm going to try to be as cooperative with my body as possible and it will sort everything out on its own. My perfect weight and perfect health will come naturally as long as I assist my body instead of detract from its functions.
Ok. So here's my strategy: food journal. So I'm accountable for what I put in my mouth. Besides, I love writing about food. I totally get off on it.
Cut out as much sugar as possible, without having to check myself into rehab with a bad case of the dt's.
Cut out caffeine. It makes me tired halfway through the day and then I can't sleep at night. Stupid, really, seeing as how I only started drinking it a year ago.
Eat the highest quality food that I can. Fresh and organic as much as possible. This means cooking for myself more than eating out because I can control the ingredients.
Eat until 3/4 full. Not totally full. Digestion aiding trick.
Vitamins, of course. And probiotics would be good too.
And that's my 'diet'. Small changes. We'll see how it goes.
